Bonnie Ordonez
Dr. Bonnie Ordonez

Dean of Education Systems

Dr. Bonnie Ordonez comes to PTC with an extensive career in higher education. She has held many roles, including Associate Professor of Education, Department Chair, and Dean. She has worked at a community college, a four-year college, and in graduate education.

Her career began as an early childhood teacher, education consultant, and adjunct professor. She has published articles on topics ranging from competency-based education to online learning. She has presented at numerous local, state, and national conferences. Her research focus has been in the areas of Distance Learning and Faculty Professional Development.

Dr. Ordonez is excited to venture into a new sector of higher education, Community and Corporate Education, to serve the community and local businesses.

Nora Stroop
Nora Stroop

Nora Stroop has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Pittsburgh and a Graduate Instructional Design Certificate from the University of Wisconsin, Stout.

She’s been with PTC’s Center for Education and Learning for 18 years, During that time, she has transformed her position to utilize her talents and experience to address the changing needs of PTC’s faculty and staff. Nora provides support and training for faculty and staff, as well as instructional design for faculty. In addition, she also manages PTC’s Education surveys that include course evaluations, student satisfaction surveys, and the School of Nursing clinical evaluations.

Nicknamed “Jack of All Trades,” she strives to build on her experience to further support the needs of the faculty and staff. If she can’t answer your question, she will either research it or will find resources that can help.

In a previous life, she spent 20 years as a freelance artisan specializing in custom, hand-painted, wood-cut architectural portraits.
